If you like simple, understated textured charm, you should enjoy this book. As we’re learning to declutter our lives and homes of the non-essential, this book shows you how to design with what you love that’s left. The rooms are primarily decorated in tones of white, cream, beige with touches of brown and black and curated with accessories that are authentic. Many folks who like neutral creams/whites want to know how to achieve warm, comfortable and non-sterile rooms–this book illustrates how to achieve these rooms. I found this book a visual and refreshing treat for the eyes.

    Kiwi Magazine Review:

The lovely simplicity of the style of the rooms in the book make you feel instantly calm. The clear reuse and repurposing of old items adds charm and dimension to these clutter-free designs.

Yes, that’s the best advice and while simple in a lot of these books also means mannered and posed, it’s still good advice as you’re looking for your own look and personality in a space. This book is very helpful. But as with all these less is better books along with their touches of recycle and restore, it’s difficult to adopt if you already have too much stuff and simply don’t know what to do with it all. So I advise this book if you’re just starting and have four essentials to your name.
